May

Boys, bugs and creatures always seem to go together quite well.
Here is Wes stopping to play with his "friends" after walking Thad to school-
The rollie pollies have been out in masses and he has to stop and talk to all of them. He gets left behind a lot.

The frogs have also returned and we kinda love it!
I don't ever touch them and I think the tiny ones are the best, but Wes is in heaven when he can get his hands on any of them!

He even likes to pretend he is one sometimes and plays follow the leader-
The frog is camouflaged in the grass, but he is there and Wes is hoppin' after him!

We were able to go out on a fun date night and take advantage of a babysitting swap we started with a family we met through Thad's basketball team.
We were in the mood for donuts, so Gordough's was the place to go-

We took a stroll around the capital afterwards and enjoyed just being with each other without the kids. It was a good May day.

A couple weekends later, we took our turn watching their kids-
Emily and Eve became instant besties.

We spent a while outside and the kids enjoyed the foot races the most!

We tried to get Thad to run faster, but he came in a smidgen behind Cohen every time.

Brian and I celebrated our ninth anniversary!
We did a morning date because it fit our schedule the best and it was so much fun! We had breakfast at Kirby Lane and shopped a bit. Perfect date with the perfect guy.

"Just finished up a breakfast date with this handsome guy of mine to celebrate 9 years of marriage! 3 kids, 3 states and 3.5 college degrees later we are happier than ever. I love this man and this life we have created. Happy anniversary, Brian!"

This lovely gal returned from the New Jersey Morristown Mission, and though we couldn't be there to welcome her home, we tuned in via Skype-
Not the most quality, but we were able to catch a lot of it, so it was definitely the next best thing to being there. We can't wait to see her in July!

Kristen and I got our hair did at a blogger event she was invited to, and I loved joining her because I think the blogging life (for a job) is so intriguing!
We thought we were going to get blow outs (hair washed and styled) so I had damp sweaty hair from my workout that morning...well, it was just a style. Sorry lady! We had a good laugh about it-
No not really, this is Kristen just teaching me how to fake laugh until I real laugh for a candid looking photo. It turned out pretty good!

Let's end this May post with each of my three babies in their individual glory-
Thad
No words needed.

He got his name drawn to try and make the impossible shot, so we went with him to school for Friday assembly and crossed our fingers for him. He didn't make it, but he got closer than some of the big kids, so he was excited. I love that his school does this...something so simple with so much effect!

We just have a little smarty on our hands and he surprised us one Sunday morning with 100% on the Tree of Life quiz. He was pretty proud of himself!

He still loves basketball and when his dad will join him it's multiplied by 1,000!

Wes

This smile makes my heart happy every single day.

His obsession with his baby sister is sometimes cute.
And sometimes scary...especially for Eve! Haha! We love our silly Wesley.

Eve

Brian left her alone for a few minutes and found her like this. We're still not sure how it happened.

I am sure about how much I love my crew and that I get to spend every May with them!
