Here we are at the Fall Festival our ward put on.
Our very first Sunday in Round Rock the bishopric asked us to be on the committee to plan this event. It was a lot of fun and luckily we had easy going committee chairs because we didn't have to stress much about anything. The ward has done it now for 7-8 years, so we basically just used and did the things they have done in the past. I was in charge of the food sign ups, which was a lot -- we had the ward bring the whole meal for 350 people, but everyone was so willing and helpful that it ended up being a breeze!
The festival is held out on a ward member's farm property and it was just the perfect backdrop for a fall get together.
Here are our Chili Cook Off judges --
Our bishop is the guy in the middle.
(Thad wasn't too excited about the makeup on his face on the way over)
I have to say that this is a little bit of fall-Thad-Halloween perfection:
Shelley.Kristen.Jaime
These girls are amazing! Kristen has lived her for 10+ years and Jaime moved in right before us, and we just hit it off! They are a lot of fun and I am excited to get to know them better during our time here.
HALLOWEEN DAY
In the morning on Halloween we headed to Round Rock's Fall Festival with friends from the ward. It was the perfect way to pass some time because Thad just couldn't wait until after dinner! :)

Front row: Chase.Wes.Eloise.Tysen
Cali and Thad are buds and I love it. They are in Sunbeams together and have a fun time when they get together and play. They make a great super hero pair!
TRICK-OR-TREAT!!
For Halloween night we stuck around our neighborhood and had dinner with our neighbors and then headed out for trickin' and treatin' around 7pm. Our neighborhood and street are the best! I love that we have a sense of community and that our kids can have fun together.
I wish it would have been a little lighter for pictures, but I got what I could:
Best Mateys!
And our FUN neighbors!
Thad.Braden(Ironman).Jaden(Grim reeper)
Wes.Tyson(Batman)
Here they are at their first house! Our neighbors across the street, Liz and Ralf, are awesome and wanted to see the kids first thing. They didn't even recognize all of them when they rang the doorbell.
They boys did awesome and we went around for about 1.5 hours! Thad was dragging a little at the end, but he loved it. Wes rode in the stroller for the most part, but really wanted candy at the last ten houses...it was adorable!!!
The loot:
And Wes saw his brother pose, so of course he had to do the same! My heart melted.
Happy Successful Halloween 2013!
