October Happenings

The Haslems made it out to Ohio the first weekend of October and hanging with them was so fun!
Liz always brings the awesome weather when she comes from Arizona, so we enjoyed lots of time outside with friends!
Being at the zoo was a highlight and my little girls loved it.

An older couple stepped in as our extra adults (we had too many kids to adults) and all the kids were so sweet and let them help-
So grateful for kind people in this world!

Having Jules and Miles over was so much fun and really made me wish the Haslems were still a couple streets away-

Luckily we have become besties with the Diaz family since Liz left, so that has softened the blow a little bit.

Liv continues to be super jealous about Mae's dance class, so traipses around in tap shoes in the lobby while we wait-

My cutie elementary kids showing their school and grade spirit for the Deer Run Run-

Always more fun with friends!

Grandma Teresa came and stayed for 10 days to first, stay with the little girls while we went to Chicago for the marathon, and then Eve's baptism the following weekend. We love having House around!

Mae said the only souvenir she wanted from Chicago was a pizza lunchable-
We did not buy it in Chicago, but she was none the wiser and as happy as a clam when we got back!

I put House to work, as usual, and had some dang clean windows inside and out before the baptism came around!
Mae was a big help, of course.

Thad finished his football season and his coach had great things to say about him-
We love coming to these end of season meetings and hearing the great team experience the boys had, what the coaches notice about each kid, and the kid's favorite things about the season. It was especially nice to not have the little girls in tow (thanks, House!) so we could actually listen.

Grandma Cindy, Aunt Brigitte, and Jayci made their way to the midwest for Eve's baptism and our first stop-
The zoo!
Stingray bay was a huge hit and we had awesome weather again!

Sure love these cousins!
Wes took my phone in to the reptile house by himself and took some pictures of his favorite things. I love him.

Mae always looking as cool as a cucumber-

We had The Yard on our radar for several weeks after watching it on Shark Tank, and waited until we had guests to take downtown for the experience-
Super fun experience, not the yummiest ice cream. But it was still fun to head downtown and have a fun night out!

We made our way to soccer games first thing in the morning before the baptism and it was chilly, but sunny, and we had a great time-

Love that little tomato face she gets from me!

All hands were on deck to get ready for the baptism and Liv loved that Aunt Brig would cart her around with her-

House helped make a lot of the food for the baptism a couple nights before and Liv also loved that House would lift her up for as long as she could-

The baptism was a major succes, Eve was surrounded by love, and we loved having everyone around for a couple more days!

Mae didn't want to take her Sunday nap, so Aunt Brigitte took it upon herself to help out, and it was a wild success-

The good weather finally gave out so we spent the last day checking out downtown Dublin in the cold, but just loved being together anyways.

We sure love our people!

A few little extras that happened in October-
We got our front door replaced and Mae thought she was the biggest helper.
Pretty happy with how it turned out!

I dared to try some sourdough on my own after Teresa left. It turned out great!

Mae found her note that House left her quite late, but carried it around with her all day one Sunday and it was darling-

Eve took a nap. This never happens.

Liv took a nap. Which is not rare, but babies sleeping is so special and quickly slipping through my fingers. Bittersweet for sure.

Eve took a fun cheer class and their little performance was awesome!

What a great October we had! Life is full!
