The month started off with General Conference and here is our boy on Saturday just watching and eating popcorn by himself on the rug-
I love how he cares and tries. It is such a good quality.
I heard about a free car show at the high school, so we checked it out between sessions and had a lot of fun!
Wes was in car heaven!
I have to say it was a major success for us first timers and we would love to do it again!
Eve and her brothers continue to be the best three ever-
(PSA: Don't use Bumbos in the tub. They float and it's weird.)
Thad lost his third tooth and was super pumped about it!
He was also pumped about eating popsicles with Wes-
Oh yeah, baby!
The boys got to do some science with dad:
And a pirate took over our baby for a moment-
Yarrr!
She sure loved her first spin in the swing-
Visiting Thad at school is one of our favorites-
I usually don't bring Eve anything when we eat lunch with Thad, so she naturally starts gnawing on her feet. ;-)
The kids in Thad's class always give Wes a warm welcome and Mrs. Knight lets him walk in line. It's the cutest and Thad just lets him and I love it. What a great pair of brothers!
We also got to attend Thad's school carnival on a Saturday. These sorts of things aren't my fave, but the kids sure had fun and we were glad we went.
And Eve was just the cutest spectator there!
I ran my third and hardest half marathon right before my birthday.
I have ran one after each baby, but this was the soonest post par tum and way more hills than I trained for. BUT, I am so glad I did it because it felt great when I finally crossed that finish line!
I was over joyed to see my cheering section and Brian snapped the pic just after I stopped to hug them...I think he captured how I felt pretty good!
The boys ended up running across the finish line with me-
Thad says he beat me. I'll explain it to him when he's older. :)
The race was in Luckenbach which is part of the hill country and it was a really beautiful run. I'm glad I did it, but I don't know if I would do that course again, it was so tough! We did have cloud cover and some drizzle which turned out being great.
I finished in 2 hours13 minutes.
It's my slowest time yet, but I did not walk one step of that race and it really helped me commit to getting in shape. No regrets.
I convinced my friend Emily to run it with me a couple weeks before the race and she totally rocked it! Before this race she would do fast, short runs but she was able to run with me for three weeks prior and she took 3rd in her age group. I am so proud of her!
After burning over 1,000 calories we ended our day at Mooyah for a burger, fries and ice cream-
Yum!
Thanks for being awesome, April!
