Happy 7th Anniversary

Brian and I celebrated SEVEN years of marriage this year and had a blast doing it! Since we were in Utah, we have wonderful family who are willing to babysit--overnight even! So we headed downtown to spend the evening at Temple Square and City Creek.

After checking into the Marriott at City Creek we headed over to the temple to do sealings.

It was so fun to sit in there and remember the day we took upon ourselves those covenants. The promises are so beautiful and I should go back more often to be reminded of them. We were in the sealing room with a couple that was celebrating their first year of marriage and they were also married May 19 -- It was overall just very enjoyable!

After a little shopping we ate dinner at Copper Onion and it was AMAZING.

It is for sure our favorite SLC eatery.

There was a romantic ambiance and fun vibe at the restaurant!

We have turned into a tiny bit of food snobs since we were spoiled in the tri-state area, but this was just as good as anything we had in the east. Try it if you have the chance!

We didn't have plans for Sunday morning, but Todd and Kelsie were also celebrating their anniversary downtown and text us early Sunday morning to see if we wanted to join them at the Tabernacle for Music and the Spoken Word. We almost didn't go, but I'm so glad we did!

It has been a long time since I was in the Tabernacle last, and it was worth it just to see those beautiful pipes! What a fun way to spend our Sunday morning.

With each new year, babe and adventure that we set out on, I fall a little more in love with this guy!

This marriage thing only keeps getting better, that is for sure.

P.S.

I got a few of these little gems from Haley because they were watching Wes. Avery is obsessed, so he stayed with them while Thad stayed with Grandma Cindy. I'm so glad we have awesome babysitters so that we can do fun things!

Mother's Day 2013

My boys are the best. All three of them. Brian is constantly telling the boys how awesome I am (which is not based on much in my opinion) and that they should never talk mean or say no to me. I don't know how got so blessed with an amazing husband and amazing sons, because I often feel I don't deserve it. Mother's Day was perfect though, because I got to spend it with them.

It started off with breakfast in bed made by who other than Grandpa Russ! Thad and Grandpa delivered it with great big smiles and started the day off perfectly.

We then headed to church in our Sunday best, of course- 

I probably shouldn't snap pictures in the chapel, but Wes just loves his Grandma Teresa and was having a ball with her on Mother's Day-

We also found out Aunt Kaylee is having a baby and that was an awesome little surprise!!

We headed to the park the night before for dinner, cousin play and spending time with Grandma!

 What a blessed woman I am to be a mom and have a wonderful mom. Mother's Day is a good day. I'm glad I get to walk through life with my boys by my side.

Home Sweet Home

After our bittersweet departure from the east coast and our enjoyable drive across the country, we didn't waste one minute to get hanging, playing and being with the people we love most!

The day after we arrived Heidi and I went to a Power of Moms retreat in Park City at Richard and Linda Eyre's home. Heidi is one of my biggest motivators to be a better mom and I owe our friendship to us entering motherhood together. She has been there since I was pregnant with Mr. Thad and I think its safe to say she will be here through it all!

Kayci's Senior Dinner Dance

I always wanted a little brother or sister growing up...these girls are perfect little sisters!

Brian went to Logan to teach right off the bat, but the boys and I headed up the next week.

Grandpa Kent came home mid-May from North Dakota and had to head back before his birthday, so we went to Leatherby's to celebrate before his departure.
