General Conference
This is always the best way to start a month and luckily we get to do it twice a year! We loved hearing the words of our church leaders and although it's hard to internalize a lot with little kids distracting us, it is still wonderful to get snippets and such a good thing for our kids to hear those voices. The voices and faces they see are filled with so much love and wisdom and although they may not understand much of what is being said, they can feel that love and conviction through the presence of the Spirit in our home.
We always love a yummy orange julius and extra buttery toast for Conference brunch!
This was a rare site, but it did happen a couple of times!

This game kept the boys involved really well again this time around and I'm sure it will be a regular deal come conference time.
The Outlaw Half Marathon
Brian and I were able to run a half marathon together and it was a lot of fun! I ran this race last year and was not prepared for all the hills so wanted to improve my time and Brian is always up for a running challenge, so it was the perfect thing to do together. Our neighbors Abby and John were so sweet to keep our kids while we did this, it wouldn't have been possible without them. Abby came over at 5am so Brian and I could head to Fredricksburg to pick up our packets before the 8am race start.
We were a little nervous about those threatening rain clouds, but it only rained for a few minutes during the race and the clouds kept us pretty cool the rest of the time!
The course was a lot of fun, 6.5 miles out and back, so it was fun for me to see Brian at the front of the pack when I was a few miles behind him. I had a really strong start of my race, but was really fading around mile 10...I struggled through, walked about 100 meters and told myself I would run until mile 12 and then walk/run it from there when all of the sudden I saw Brian running towards me at 11.5 miles! I was so happy that I almost started crying and he really helped me finish with a time I was happy with! My main goal was to finish with a better time than last year and I beat it by five minutes, so that was all that mattered to me!
Brian totally ROCKED it and took 8th place overall and 1st in his age division!
He's pretty amazing.
We had such a fantastic time running a beautiful race in the hill country and can't wait to do another race together. I want the next one to be on the shorter side, that's for sure!
Dancin' Fools
Thad's school had a Spring Dance and Thad REALLY wanted to go. We didn't do many of the school sponsored activities last year because Eve was so little and I felt like I didn't know a lot of people. This year I have gotten to know a lot more of the families and most involved parents so these events are fun for us. I just took the boys because I knew Eve would be a nightmare and we had a really good time. The music was entirely too loud and I could barely have a conversation, but the kids had fun and that's what really matters!
One of the main things that got me there was FREE PIZZA! I only had to make dinner for Brian and I and it was awesome.
Thad spent most of his time with his friends Tristan and Josiah from his class and it's always a blast to see him with his classmates outside of the classroom.

PIGGIES!!
Eve got her first set of piggies mid-month and I had to take a million pictures to document their cuteness!
They have come a long way from this crooked part, but it was just so fun to try it out and see how they make her look like a big girl!
That night we went to this random park for dinner and had a wonderful night enjoying the awesome spring Texas has been giving us!
Let's Go Fly a Kite!
Wes' friend Olivia had a kite party that got rained out, so he asked every day five times a day if he could go fly his kite for about a week until I finally obliged. It was a beautiful day and we had no problems getting that kite up in the sky and it ended up being a lot of fun for me, too!
I sure love that little boy and those big Texas skies!
Spring Carnival
At the end of the month Thad's school hosted a spring carnival and we went as a family. The carnival was put together really well and we had a lot of fun!
I bought the boys wristbands to do all the games but Miss Eve wanted in on the action too! Luckily because I volunteered for an hour I got ten free tickets and that little girl got to hang out in that bounce house for about an hour...she loved it!
Random
And in between all of the in between, there was a whole lot of cuteness!
This Eve girl ends up taking up a lot of space on our camera rolls!
Our neighbor, John, was so kind to help Brian fix our fence that fell down a few months ago and because we haven't had the opportunity for many home improvement projects, it was fun to see it all get done.
Eve treated herself to a hotdog in the driveway because she was so exhausted from all that fence work!
We had friends over one day and I thought it was so adorable when baby Ian fell asleep in the high chair...
I didn't think it was adorable that he wouldn't take a nap in the pack-n-play, but you win some, you lose some!
Eve kept trying to shove his pacifier or bottle in his mouth while he was over...
And luckily he was a pretty good sport, but it's just so funny when babies don't think they're babies anymore!
Eve LOVES, LOVES, LOVES being outside and is always bringing me her shoes and begging to be out there. It is adorable, but sometimes super annoying because I don't want to go outside. But I love her so I mostly let her do whatever she wants.
She's also quite adorable while she's inside and I let her mostly do whatever she wants indoors too. We are in trouble with this girl!
She has now broken both pairs of Brian's glasses (more his fault than hers), but she does adorable stuff like "reading" in the basket afterwards so it's really easy to forget.
She is a dream.
Her brothers are pretty dang awesome, too and they all just fit so perfectly together.
This boy and his crazy ideas always make me smile!
He thinks he's tough but he is one happy kid and I love seeing his cute face ride up every day after school-
He is such a happy, smart boy and I can't say it enough how blessed we are to have him be leading our family. Love you, Thaddeus!
Wes was so supportive when it came time to take Eve's staple out and even though she kinda freaked out, Wes made sure to take some of the attention away from her. I love those two so much.
I headed to Waco at the end of the month to walk through Todd and Kelsie's house with the home inspector.
This is the darling house they will be living in and I know we will be frequenting it a lot over the next two years. We are so excited to have them so close, we can hardly wait!
