A F.A.F Rowing Event

In the spring Brian signed up to be on a rowing team at work for a charity event. The community gets businesses to sponsor teams and the proceeds go to charity. Rowing is a big thing back east so Brian wanted to try the sport out.

He trained with his co-workers for a little over a month, and finally racing day came! Thad and I were excited to see Dad compete along with some of the wonderful people we have gotten to know over the past year with his employment at the Financial Accounting Foundation.

There was down time before and in between races, so Thad was easily able to find ways to entertain himself.
The race took place at this beautiful river down the street from our house.
Brian's team is in the black jerseys.
Brian is second from the front of the boat with the blue shirt.
Their pre-race run was really good, but they got a rough start on their sprint and ended up losing their race.
They had lots of fun though and looked great doing it!!
Here is the 4 man team from the FAF rowing hard!
Thad was in rock heaven once he discovered these...now how do I get him to NOT throw these at the boats?!

These are some of Brian's great friends he made at FASB. It was such a fun opportunity to meet these wonderful guys. We wish them all the luck in the world with their future endeavors.

Happy Father's Day to a Wonderful Dad

Brian is the dad I always envisioned my children having. Thad always comes first, and that is how it should be. He is gentle and sweet and is teaching Thad to be the type of boy he should be. I am so grateful he is my husband and our child's father.

What a pair of handsome boys these are. I'm so lucky they belong to me.
A new razor isn't quite enough to show Dad how much we love him, but hopefully our words and actions will make up the rest!
We made a yummy Philly cheese steak sandwich for the man of the day and he even got to eat it while watching some Sunday sports.

I'm so grateful for days to celebrate such special people. We should celebrate him everyday, but sometimes that gets lost in the day to day, and luckily we have time set aside.  Love you so much, daddy!!
