Math Pentathalon

Thad participated in Math Pentathalon again this year and was lucky enough to have Brian be his coach! After we had such a good experience last year, Brian was excited to coach his division this year. So every Tuesday afternoon from 2:45pm-4pm, these cutest dudes got to hang out and play math games with 15 other Kinder and first graders!
Brian was the head coach and had an assistant and most days had another parent there to help out, but for the most part he held down the fort with bunch of 5-7 year olds. It makes me so happy that he did it, I know this is something Thad will never forget. Tuesdays were always his favorite because he got to be with dad at school. We sure love that guy!

This is what most of the practices looked like:

I'm so glad Thad has such a good experience doing this and that he loved to go each week.

Everyone was excited when the big tournament came around the first weekend of April. Brian and Thad headed to Stony Point Highschool for most of the day on Saturday and Thad played 5 games against 5 different Division one opponents.

 Oops!

We weren't the most competitive of teams, but these boys still had an awesome time! Thad doesn't let much get him down (not even five losses) and I seriously love that about him.
I am so grateful for a smart boy and a dedicated dad. They make a great team.
