Post Christmas Fun

We got to enjoy the two weeks following Christmas with Dad around most of the time. It was awesome. Anything with dad is always more awesome.
We spent lots of time enjoying our Christmas loot -

Beyblades for days!
Thad got a second Beyblade from Caden for Christmas, so he and dad were finally able to play together.

I got a book called “Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons” recommended by a friend that has used it for 5 of her 6 kids, and it has been AMAZING to watch Thad learn!
I was a little skeptical at first because the technique is a little odd, but he can read whole paragraphs (from the book) and improves each time we do a new lesson.
He is such a smart boy and I am so lucky he loves to learn!

DRESS UP PARTY
We babysat some friends while their parents finished packing up to move to Dallas, and of course there had to be a dress up party!

This kid is too cute. Booger nose and all.

Only in Texas do you get to pack a picnic and hang out at the park over Christmas break!

We also splurged and paid $13 total for 4 tickets to the UT basketball game.
Well worth it!

Wes was totally mesmerized by all the goings on down on the court, he couldn’t tear his eyes away from it!

HOOK ‘EM!

Wes was way too scared to enter this picture.

We walked up to the upper bowl when we first got there where our tickets were for and they said we could go sit down in the lower bowl GA section wherever we wanted.
We snapped a picture first and then did just that!

Not too shabby for $13!
This was our first UT sporting event, but I’m sure it will not be our last!

Oh, and don’t worry, Wes had a slight jacket obsession all winter break. If I left it out at all where he could see it, or any other zip up jacket, he wanted it on with the hood.
Kids are so strange sometimes. He is a gem.

Man I miss those school breaks!!! That family picture at the game is so cute, I love all your orange clothes! And maybe it's because I don't have boys, but I have NO IDEA what Beyblades are...haha! Miss you!

Great pictures!! I miss those days too when Roger was home for a couple of weeks during the Christmas Break!!! I used the same book for my youngest to learn how to read! Huge success! He's an awesome reader!!
