Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is always an exciting day at any house with kids on the Nice List! We spent our morning sleeping in, exercising and cooking some treats for our party at the Hogge's that afternoon. We are so blessed with wonderful friends that include us and invite us into their home.

We had a fun afternoon the Hogge's eating delicious food, having a candy exchange for the kids and white elephant exchange for the adults, playing outside in the awesome Texas Christmas weather, and just enjoying one another's company!

Rob is the only one not a part of the Steed family, and they moved 5 days after Christmas. We haven't lived here long, but I was so sad to see this family move to Dallas! Michelle is an awesome lady and I hope our paths continue to cross.

After our fun party, we headed home to prep the house for Santa himself!
Thad got some reindeer food at school, so the boys headed out to the backyard to spread it on the grass.

Milk and cookies were next on the list:

Melvin left this little treasure for us to read each Christmas Eve:
Twas the Night Before Christmas

Those boys settled right down and didn't argue one bit about going to sleep.
They went to sleep leaving things perfect for Santa.

Before we knew it, Santa had snuck in and left us all our treasures.

I went to sleep with so much gratitude in my heart for my Savior and Him making this special holiday possible.
