They have them on at any given time of day. I have a bunch sitting around because I sold them back in the summer, so I'm glad they are getting their use somewhere!
Oh, I'm actually pretty sure it's from all the amazing weather...Yeah, that's gotta be it!
Yip, just hanging out in shorts and a t-shirt in December.
Winter in Texas is awesome.
Christmas Prep
Christmas Cards were sent:
Stockings were hung:
Some other important items of business were sent:
"I like to play nice with my big brother, Thad. Please bring me a car or anything with wheels. Love, Wes"
"I try to be good. I want a bike. I heart Christmas. Love, Thad"
Lots of school projects and Christmas cards were received in our home.
Such a fun time of year!
Melvin made his appearance and kept an eye on those boys all month long!
We had an FHE focused on the shepherds in the nativity story.
My kids would probably prefer to eat like this most nights!
I really hope lessons like this help our boys to understand the true meaning of Christmas. It is so amazing when we understand and gain a testimony of His divinity.
Trail of Lights
We went to see the Christmas lights one night after the boys were in their jammies ALL DAY. Wes and I got pink eye and then I came down with strep a few days later, so there were lots of lazy days. Luckily dad was around to pick up the slack. This was the perfect Christmas activity for a bunch of sickies.
We opened the van doors and let the boys enjoy all the fun scenes!
Westside Christian Preschool Christmas Program
This boy loves preschool and we were so excited to get to see him perform with his class!
Before the program we got to head to his classroom and check out where he spends his preschool days and some Christmas projects they had worked on.
Remember, Wes and I have pink eye at this point!
I love to see Thad interact with other adults. He speaks fondly of Ms. Amanda and I know that her and Thad get along well. I'm so glad Thad's introduction to education has been a pleasant experience.
Meeting Santa
Our ward had a breakfast for the Christmas party and it was a lot of fun. Meeting Santa was definitely the highlight for most of the kids. Remember, I said most...
Thad was a little more weirded out by Wes acting the way he did, but Brian said it did take a little convincing to get him on Santa's lap. You can tell by his not-so-cozy position on Santa's lap.
Some Major Cuteness
Wes' fits have gotten a little out of control lately. He has been spending a lot of time here.
What he does is naughty, but this is so cute!
Our little sicky fell asleep while dad stroked his head.
He also fell asleep watching a show. Sick kids are no fun but sometimes so cute.
I'm not totally sure why Wes didn't have a shirt on this day, but it made for some great pictures!
He wants to be just like his brother!
When I was checking out at H-E-B, a coupon printed with my receipt for 2 free tickets to the Starz hockey game. What a perfect date night for Thad and dad! Brian finished his finals on Saturday, December 14th and then we had his awesomeness all to ourselves! Thad talked about this date everyday for a week leading up to it!
Brian said the second they sat down, Thad started jamming to the music that was playing while players got penalties for the first fight. His moves even got him up on the Jumbo tron!
Christmas Magic
I love when this boy is in focus mode. I also love that he sat in the middle of the track.
BED HEAD!
And some pink eye.
Good thing he has one of the cutest faces around!
Brig FaceTimed with me right after she got her adult braces on.
I laughed a lot. I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it! She is a brave woman for gettin' those puppies on. I know she will be happy when it's all over, but I am going to have a good chuckle in the mean time!
Christmas Sunday
I always love my boys in handsome matching Sunday attire. Please enjoy my attempt at getting a decent shot of my sweethearts:
I love every single face those boys make. I had to yell at them 100 times to get them to smile at the same time, but it was way worth it because they are awesome and I love all the faces in between!

This is awesome! Those boys are so stinkin' cute and I can't believe how big they are! Love you guys and glad you had a good Christmas!
I love Thad's "fake" smiles... the "come on mom, get this over with" ones. So funny. You have two seriously cute boys. Miss you guys!
