Eve Turns Lucky #7!

Eve is pretty great and getting the chance to celebrate her each year is also pretty great! I cannot believe I have a 7 year old daughter! She is definitely moving out of the "little girl" phase and into the "big girl" one. It breaks my heart and makes me swell with pride all at the same time. I love who she is becoming and am so grateful she belongs to us. These past seven years have been an absolute privilege.

We were so excited to celebrate her, we actually started a day early!Brian and Thad were heading out of town on her birthday, so we ate her favorite dinner of "noodles with white sauce" the night before her birthday and everyone was so happy she picked that!

She wanted an ice cream cake like Thad had for his birthday, and we wanted the whole family to enjoy it, so we followed her birthday dinner with a round of delicious cookies and cream ice cream cake.
Lucky for us, she wore that darling cowgirl hat and loved the light up candle proclaiming her new age!

She went to bed (with a little help from melatonin) excited for what the next day would bring!
We woke this happy girl up extra early at 6:15 a.m. so she could see Daddy before he had to leave for a day of teaching and then to the airport while she was at school. She was excited about this little surprise and so happy she got to spend some time with Dad and Thad on her actual birthday.

We didn't wake the little girls to join us, but the brothers were all in!

LOL dolls saved the morning and Wes and Eve were entertained for quite some time with this surprise box!

We got this newly minted 7-year old dressed in a dress (her very favorite thing to wear) and got some cute shots before she went off for her day at school-

Can you even handle how grown up she looks? I can't! She is a beauty inside and out!

Her cute friends sang to her as she came out to wait for the bus-

And she was extra surprised when I showed up about 30 minutes into class to check her out for a fun surprise! We had about a 20 minute drive and she was full of questions and so excited when we ended up here-
Kendra Scott is a Texas based jewelry designer who I love and started buying her stuff when we lived in Texas. I figured my little Texan should join me in my love for her beautiful stuff and watching this cute girl check out the jewelry store was so much fun-

After checking things out she decided she wanted to build her own necklace and had fun looking through all the beautiful colors of stones.

She ended up with a silver chain and turquoise stone and it matches her personality perfectly.

She was pretty decisive so it was a quick trip, but we grabbed some Chick Fil A for her to eat at school on the way back and she was pretty happy about that!

After a fun day at school, she topped her night off with soccer practice and ice cream from Jeni's!
Her team was so sweet and serenaded her with a round of Happy Birthday and let me take this cute picture of them.

Luckily the Joyce girls weren't busy and joined us for ice cream at Jeni's-

Oh how we love our sweet Eve and the chance to celebrate how grateful we are for her and how wonderful she is.

Seven things we love about Eve-
1. Big Sister. This girl has really shown up this year in being the best big sister to Mae and Liv. It isn't always easy, but she tries her best to be helpful, playful, and loving to our little girls.

2. Joy. This girl is almost always happy! Of course she has her moments, but she wakes up happy, comes hope from school happy, and is always happy to be able to go to school, soccer, tumbling, church, or a friend's house. And the best part about it is that it's contagious!

3. Adventure. This girl is ALWAYS up for an adventure! She loves the water, biking, anything outdoors really, and is always up for something new. This girl has no fear and is going to experience amazing things in her life!

4. Tender. This girl can hold her own, but loves to cuddle, and get loves whenever she can.

5. Conversation. This girl can have a conversation with anyone! So many adults like being around her because of her ability to carry on with them and the kids around them. This is going to serve her well throughout her life.

6. Animal loving. Sometimes I *wish* we could get this girl a puppy. She loves animals of all kinds  and is drawn to them whenever they are around. I have no doubt she will have a pet her two when she is on her own.

7. Best Friend. This girl is a great friend not only to her peers, but to me and I am so lucky to have her friendship. I love seeing her develop all of her relationships and know she will never lack friends with her magnetic personality.
