On Sunday, September 5, 2021, Liv Marie Monsen received a name and a blessing from her daddy. We initially planned to bless her at the end of our Utah trip, but plans changed and we had the amazing opportunity to bless her at church surrounded by our ward family and friends -- something we have never done with any of our other kids. To say it was sweet is an understatement. I am so grateful our Ohio family got to participate in the girl's special day!
She looked like an angel that day dressed in the same dress her sisters wore made from my wedding gown-
Brian gave her such a sweet blessing and stood in the circle with the rest of the bishopric, Chris Wernli, Devon Phillip, and Brad Phister and then also invited Denton Whitney to join. He blessed her to know she is loved by Heavenly Parents, with health and strength, and then then the thing that stuck out to me the most...to serve and reach out to the downtrodden, left out, and marginalized. Oh, how I pray I can help this girl develop such a wonderful gift along side Brian and her Heavenly Parents. We need more people to do the reaching out and it starts at home and leading by example. I know this girl can and will do so much for others!
Now all three of our girls have worn my wedding dress and I couldn't be any happier with my decision to do this to my dress. What a wonderful dream fulfilled!
I changed her out of her dress after sacrament meeting because she barfs way too much to allow her to keep it on!
She is the happiest girl!
After the beautiful blessing we got the backyard ready to host about 70 people to celebrate our Liv with some yummy desserts! Our kids were so helpful and we had such a good turn out. Our ward hasn't had many gatherings outside of church in the pandemic, so it was such a fun night for so many reasons.
I love how the decor turned out and really focused on our sweet baby Liv.

The Connerys are so amazing with their love and support. They used to live next door to us but had to move about six months ago to a different rental in our neighborhood, but we have kept a good connection with them! Jillian (Katie's mom) came to sacrament meeting for the blessing and it was such a joy to have her there. She helped me with the kids, was so kind about the blessing and my testimony, and had so many fun gospel questions for us to answer! The Connerys are a great family we are so lucky to know!

Here is another family we are beyond lucky to be friends with! Kevin coaches Wes' soccer team and our kids go to the same school and Christine and I have just become really good friends. She loves my kids and has just been such a blessing to me here in Ohio. She loves on Liv any chance she gets and I'm so grateful they could come celebrate with us!
We were out in the back until dark with so many fun friends and the youth were off playing some sort of night game at the park, but a little after 9pm we called it a night...a very successful night! Things couldn't have gone any better. I am just so grateful for this little one and all the of the happiness she has brought into this crazy world. We need her and love her so much!
