Inbetween Christmas and New Year's celebrations their was no shortage of things to do.
We spent plenty of time lounging and being with family and somehow don't get many pictures because there is too much good conversation going on.
Eve got to tag along to most things which is always the best!
Grandma Teresa's house doesn't have a shortage of things to create with-
And these three together and pretty much the best thing ever.
We spent an afternoon at Scheel's...it was mainly for the ferris wheel!
Meeting up with friends from Connecticut is NEVER a bad idea-
It had been WAY too long since seeing Camille, we had not seen each other since we both left CT in April 2013, so it was long over due!
It had been longer than that since seeing Nicole and Peter and we had a really fun lunch date with them at City Creek in SLC.
BUT, the HIGHLIGHT of this week was babies!
1. Sweet little Christian was born and I got to experience a tiny piece of it and it was amazing.
Todd and Kelsie came down from Kaysville with no thoughts that their boy could be born over 10 days early on December 29th, but low and behold she went into labor around 8pm and when I got back from Heidi's around 11pm her contractions were getting stronger and closer together and she couldn't wait for Todd to get back from Kaysville with their stuff before heading to the hospital. LUCKY for Teresa and me we got to take her!!!
If you can't tell I was BEYOND excited to be by her side while she was getting checked in! Teresa and I were secretly hoping that Todd would get stuck in traffic or something. JK, we would never want a father to miss the birth of his child.
Until this experience I had thought people not finding out the gender of their child was coo coo...but it was SO exciting that they didn't know and it would definitely be motivation to get through labor!
And before we knew it, a baby boy joined their darling little family-
Being so close to Kelsie's labor shortly after having my own baby was such a fun and special experience and even though we didn't stay long, only about 45 minutes, it was a pretty incredible 45 minutes!
2. The second awesome baby news was that Kelli told us she was expecting! I kind of wrangled it out of her, but she couldn't lie. We knew her and Merit were wanting to have a babe and when she came down to say hi to us at City Creek after lunch with the Gustaffsons, one thing led to another and she had just found out a day or two before and couldn't dodge my questions.
I love that girl and her inability to lie!
BEST NEWS EVER!!!!
