Brian is tough. We all know this. A few weekends ago, he had a chance to prove it along side three of his friends!
For this race, we also headed over the night before. The guys all worked in the city that day, so the girls drove over early to East Brunswick, New Jersey.
It was a crazy rainy day, and we decided we wanted to take the Tapanzee bridge instead of the GWB and although it was somewhat of an adventure, it was well worth it!

We got over there a little early, but luckily there was a Halloween fair going on at Barnes and Noble.
It kept us all entertained.

After picking the guys up at the train station, we headed to the hotel for some fun!
And by fun, I mean swimming.
This is always the best part about a hotel, right!?

Little blurry, but we were all there.
Thad wouldn’t get too close to the “big water,” but Wes seemed to enjoy it a lot!
After getting in the hot tub, there was no way I was getting back in the pool. It was awesome!
The ladies and our babes.
After a decent nights sleep, it was time for the main event!

They look nice now, but you just wait!

First things first:
Jump into a huge tub of ICE COLD water.
Brian said this was one of the hardest obstacles. The hardest part was that you had to duck under where the red arrows are which obviously gave him a headache.

These yellow cords carry and electrical charge.
Yes, everyone was getting shocked.

They survived!
These faces could be perceived as tough, but I think they were more of gratitude. ;)

The more Brian was by Shane the better.
Heather, Shane’s wife, was the superstar that got up early and ran to each obstacle to get these awesome shots.
I am so grateful to her, and just wish I would have made the sacrifice to get up and see more of the race first hand.
I love Tracy’s face here!
Hanna and I finally arrived at this point.
And thank heavens we did, because I got a great shot of Brian doing his thing!
It was so fun to watch the guys work together and get each other over the top of “Everest.”

Thad and Sophie were excited to see their daddies,
But Thad just opted for a kiss for obvious reasons!
And then the final obstacle:
Yes, another electrical shock!
They stuck together, though, and made it to the finish line as a team!

Thad got another kiss from his muddy dad.
Family Photos:
And I’m not quite sure why the Edwards didn’t get in on this??
One last photo before they all clean up.
As you can see, it was a blast. Hard, but fun!
And a funny side note:
Wes enjoys a bus ride.
A school bus took us to and from the race from the parking lot, and this little guy loved the somewhat bumpy ride.

Man, I love this kid.
As you can see, so does his dad!
