June Jubilee

June was a good month. Summer is on a roll and we are loving every minute of the warm weather... Even if it does get a bit muggy here and there, we always have something to do. Much time has been spent outside, and we are loving it!

To end joy school, we went on a field trip to Stamford Nature Center:

 The boys LOVED all the animals and had a blast!

 Their baby brothers loved it too.

 It was so fun to do a second round of joy school in the spring. 

I almost bowed out because I didn't think I would to be able to handle it with the baby, but I am so glad I was brave and took it on. 

Thad loved spending time with the boys and we hope we can start it up again in the fall.

Thad can never turn down a soccer date with dad. Luckily the park at the harbor is close enough to walk to for the perfect soccer field.

Soon enough, baby, soon enough.

 We have also had some fun rain storms lately. Making footprints on our front porch is Thad's favorite activity when it rains.

Beach Days

Went to Tod's Point in Greenwich with Hanna and her girls and it is a gorgeous, soft sand beach. The tide was low and Thad was very daring. 

After going with Hanna it gave me the courage to go a few days later and set up camp on my own at our beach.

 I think I did a pretty good job :)

 I am amazed every time I get this boy to take a decent nap at the beach.

He is perfect.

 Some afternoons are spent on the front porch...

 and we can never be out there without the bubbles going.

 But some days it is just TOO hot and TOO muggy, so we blow bubbles inside in the comfort of our A/C.

 We also find other ways to stay entertained.

I don't know why, but it makes me want to squeeze them.

I love that I get to wake up to and put these boys to bed every day.

 It is so cute, Thad tries to figure out my heart rate monitor by holding the band to his chest and checking the watch. 

He hasn't quite got it yet, but I'm sure he will soon!

 The other day I forgot to hairspray Thad's hair after I styled it, so he grabbed the can and came over and said, "Mom, you forgot to spray it!"

I was taking some pictures because Hanna did a "melt" with the color in my hair and Thad couldn't stay out of the pictures. I think they look better with him in them anyways. 

 Wes gets mad sometimes.

Really mad.

 But he also cuddles with us to make up for it.

During June, this poor baby got a BAD cough and we spent a couple days at the doctor.

Luckily we have a nebulizer and it did its job pretty quickly and painlessly.

FRIENDS

We have been spending more time with Sophie and Payton and Thad loves it.

Mommy too. Hanna and Camille can always cure my lonely blues.

Lisa and I threw a baby "sprinkle" for Niki and Melissa and it was a lot of fun.

Melissa is having a girl and Niki a boy.

So fun doing things for friends. 

 We also said goodbye to Jon and Jamie this June.

This can definitely be a hard part about living back here. It is somewhat transient and it can be scary to get too close to people sometimes.
But we love Jon and Jamie and are so glad they are in Utah so we can visit whenever we go back.

Can you see why Thad loved Jon?

Summer is good.
