Extended with the Egans

The Egans extended their Texas stay past our Port A trip, but left in shifts. Merit was able to stay an extra night in Round Rock before leaving Tuesday evening. Before taking him to the airport and going to Wes' soccer game, we took him to experience some delicious Texas BBQ at Rudy's.
Uncle Merit loved it as much as we thought he would and left Texas on a BBQ high!
These three were so sad to see him go (he is seriously so much fun), but we are just so glad we got to show him our stomping grounds for a little while!

Kelli and Wells got to stay until Saturday and we were nothing but thrilled about that! We didn't do anything too exciting, but just enjoyed spending time with two people that we don't get to be with nearly enough. Wells wasn't my biggest fan, so I tried to get him to myself whenever I could. I tried to let Kelli sleep in each morning while I snuck him out of his crib to hang out with Wes, Eve and I after Thad went to school. Although he went straight to his mama when she woke up, I had a feeling he liked me spoiling him while I could!

Aunt Kelli has some serious baking skills and brought all her tools for us to makes some awesome sugar cookies!

I don't know how I didn't take more pictures of our cookies (she helped me make cookie bouquets for my Math Pentathlon coaches) but here is the one and only I got! I did frost this one, but only after copying Kelli. She is so creative and has the eye and patience to create some really beautiful things. We even pulled out my Cricut and made Mother's Day cards that I definitely would not have done that without her there to help! Thanks for sharing your skills with us, Aunt Kelli!

It warmed up enough for us to spend an afternoon at the pool and the kids loved every minute!

And so did the moms!

Beach BABE!

Oh man, I love this group of cutest faces!

I don't have pictures of anything else we did, but I know we had some fun shopping, delicious food and even better conversation throughout the week. This girl gets me and I love every minute that I get to spend with her. My kids are lucky to call her "Aunt" and Wells is even luckier to call her "Mommy!"

It was hard to say goodbye, but we managed and started counting down the days until July when we get to see them again!

We love you Egans! Can't wait to see you this summer!
XOXO,
The Monsens
