A Fly July

July was fly here on the east coast! With the holiday and a surprise visit to the west (details to come soon), there was a lot more fun to be had in between.
A park near our home got a splash pad and we literally went everyday one week.
Thad loves cooling off in the water, but sometimes the beach is a bit too much work.
This was the perfect medium.
He always got a good play in after his "swim" on the splash pad.
And we usually had friends there to join the fun!
 But don't worry...
We still had beach days too!
One night right smack in the middle of the month, I had dinner packed when Brian got home and we headed down to our beach.
It was honestly a PERFECT night.

Wes and I hung back for a bit, but he soon wanted to join Dad and Brother.
The weather was perfect, the sunset was perfect and I had a perfect view of my perfect boys.

Can't think of any better company to spend a perfect night at the beach with.
We searched around town for a hard plastic pool. Connecticut can sometimes be hard to figure out. The closest one I could find was 40 minutes away.
We made the trek, and attempted the tie down, but I didn't dare because it was just flopping around too much.
So, this is what we figured out.
Thad was a little embarrassed.
I thought it was better than the tie down.

I guess it was worth the 80 minute round trip for the look on this boys face.
On the same trip he scored a bath fizzle ball from Lush that had pop rocks in it and changed his bath water green. That was a good trip for him. ;-)

Daddy and Thaddy Invade NYC
Thad was so excited late one afternoon when dad decided to take him into the city for a fun daddy - son outing.
Isn't it so cute how excited he is to be going on the train with dad?!
He's also good at hiding his emotions.

1. Dinner and chasing birds in Bryant Park

2. Times Square Toys-R-Us
3. "Daddy, lets go throw rocks in the water!"

4. Let's be really cute together.

5. Be happy and cute about my dad taking me on a FUN, FUN trip to the city.

I'd have to say it was a huge success!
I love that Brian loves his boys. I love that he wanted to do this and did it.
I love that Thad loves his dad.
I love being close to the city and doing things we never thought we would.
I sure love my husband and my 3-year old.

I also need to remember that most days aren't crazy exciting around here:
Lots of jumps and high kicks are performed,
Trips to Costco,
Reading books on Skype with Grandma Teresa,
Brothers entertaining one another,
Trips to the library,
And cuddling with dad.

Thanks for being fly, July.

We are perpetually jealous (in a we-hope-our-babies-are-1/2-as-awesome/darling) of the adorableness that is Thad. Seriously?! He is the best. Glad you guys had a fun month!
