We had a few ideas for spring break this year, but decided it worked best to stay home and discover Ohio. We have lived here almost 5 years and there is a lot we had not seen, so we decided to change that!
First stop:
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
We left bright and early and everyone traveled pretty dang good for the 2 hours up to Cleveland.
The hall is right on the water and it was SO MUCH COLDER than we thought it would be. We were way underprepared for the weather and spent as little time outside as possible.
There was a Beatles exhibit and we were so excited to see it!
Listening to music was fun for all!
So many cool things to see and read about!
The Beatles are pretty dang amazing and seeing so much of their history in one place was really, really fun! It also left me wondering about what could have been had they stayed together longer...we'll never know.
The hands on stuff was so much fun!
Seriously, CLEVELAND ROCKS!
What a fun adventure at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
On our way out of Cleveland, we made a REALLY fun stop at the:
A Christmas Story House
It was so fun to stroll that street, check out the "electric sex" in the window, and browse the souvenir store across the street.
Dad also tried his luck for an Orphan Annie Decoder Pen, but the mailbox was empty...again!
"You'll shoot your eye out!!!"
"BUMPUSES!!!!"
This little lady did pretty dang good for being dragged around all day and zonked on the way home.
Such a fun way to kick off our spring break!
After a couple days of friends and fun at home, we made our way to:
Hocking Hills State Park
I'm so glad we finally made Hocking Hills happen, we will definitely be back.
Straight from our hike the boys and I made our way to downtown Columbus for the:
Killers Concert
These boys got hooked up for their first concert experience! It was so fun to go with them and the concert was absolutely amazing! Hopefully we have more of this in our future.
COSI
was our next downtown stop and Wes and Eve were just so excited for this adventure-
Major success at the children's museum!
Our last and final spring break outing:
OSU Men's Volleyball
College sporting events are so fun and I'm so glad we have the Joyces to remind us about this Ohio perk! What a great way to finish out a really fun week in O-H-I-O!!
