Extra Curricular Endings

This fall the kids participated in some really fun extra curricular activities! Thad chose basketball, Wes chose soccer and Eve would not let me forget that I mentioned putting her in a dance class so we got that girl dancing! Enjoy some pictures of this fun fall season of extra curricular activities.

Clippers Basketball
Thad finished up his season today with the Clippers by winning the championship at the YMCA! His team did really well all season and only lost their very first game. Every week after that game we talked about how we wouldn't lose to that team now and lucky enough they were able to prove it in that championship game and won that same team by 8 points! The game they played before the championship game was really intense and close and they barely won by two points. BUT they did it (Thad scored the winning basket) and it was awesome!
Brian was awesome and helped out at practice when he could and at all the games. On picture day Coach Randel made Brian hop in the picture because he was so grateful he helped out as much as he did.
Such cute faces!

And the only game I got any pictures at was his last game today. Eve and Wes are not the easiest to manage at these games and it is really fun to watch so I forgot to take pictures all the other weeks.

Thad gets better and better every season he plays and he REALLY loves it and Brian and I really love watching him. I don't think this love of basketball is going anywhere any time soon!

Here they are jumping for joy when the buzzer ended the game-
 Woo hoo!
Go Clippers!

What a great coach, team and season this fall gave us!

We are so proud of Thad and all his hard work!

Kickers Soccer
Wes chose soccer again and totally rocked it! Last season he was a little off and I think he was partly intimidated by the older kids and partly weird about Brian being his coach. Well, neither of those things were an issue this season and he tore it up every game. He scored a lot and had a ton of fun with his buddy Tagg from church.

The cutest little team! They only had five kids show up on picture day, but it made for a really cute picture of tiny soccer players!

Wes ended his season last week and they went out with a bang! They don't keep score, but our team definitely won. It was getting dark towards the end of the game so it's a good thing the season is ended because it's just getting darker. We had some beautiful weather this season making it quite enjoyable to watch his games each week.

 Eve was his best cheerleader!
She was solo every week because Thad had practice inside during all of Wes' game, but she carries enough crazy for the both of them!

What a great season, Mr. Wesley! Keep it up!

And I'm totally loving all the thumbs up from this crazy, amazing boy we get to keep forever.
Isn't that smile just to die for?
Love you, Wes man!

Tiny Dancer
For a while I have been saying that I wanted to put Eve in tumbling, but when it really came down to signing her up this fall just didn't fit (or make sense to put in) the budget. Luckily I heard about some six week classes at the YMCA and this Intro to Ballet class fit perfectly into mine and Abby's schedules, so we signed up our darling three year olds for ballet.

Sevi and Eve ran up and hugged each other in the middle of the street because they were so excited for their first day! And then they posed perfectly for me:

We lucked out and got the best preschool ballet teacher ever, Ms. Kathleen. She is a beautiful dancer, fun with the girls, but firm enough to let them know she was serious-

The class ended up only being three little girls and Eve was the youngest and it definitely showed-
She would look at me and do hand signals a lot, but she mostly loved staring at herself in the mirror and only listening to Ms. Kathleen occasionally or when Ms. Kathleen yelled loud enough to startle her. That girl has a mind of her own!

Eve loved her first day of class and couldn't wait to go back each week!

We stopped at the grocery store a few times after class and one day she stole that red pepper right off the shelf so every time we went back she had to get one-

One day when the boys were out of school they were lucky enough to tag along! They weren't super excited about it, but I reminded them how much of their practices and games she sits through and they straightened out real quick!

Eve's last dance class was October 16 and they had a small little recital to show off the dance they had learned over the six weeks.
The girls were so excited to have their daddies there to watch too and smiled lots for them.

Eve is pretty crazy and dance class ended up being no exception.
It was so adorable to watch her perform, but she led the other two astray a couple of times because she was so distracted by the audience, the mirror and just wanting to be the center of attention.
She started out ok...

But got carried away doing her own thing and ended up all over the place and not by the other girls.

It was semi embarrassing, semi hilarious to watch but it was no use trying to correct her. That girl has a mind of her own and when she wants to do things her way, she does it her way!

Bless Ms. Kathleen for doing this every week!
The six week class was the perfect thing to do for Eve, I really loved watching her dance!

Way to go, tiny dancers!

We sure love you, Miss Eve, and can't wait to see where your heart takes you over the years!
