As soon as we were back from the airport, they didn’t give her much room to breathe. She didn’t mind.
Wes doesn’t have trouble warming up to people, but he was especially excited to get this belated birthday gift!

He even hung out under the table to make sure he was the only one playing with it. Stingy.

Her second day ended up being a “snow day,” for the city of Austin so we were glad we had scheduled it for a work day.
This is Wes and her relaxing between several hair cuts/colors and our glitter toe party.

No pictures from the party, but she did nails for three hours that night and was worn out by the end! She’s awesome!

Saturday we headed downtown to check the place out. We got some ideas from a bunch of my ward members and it turned into a perfect day!
After lunch we drove over and parked near South Congress (the most hip street in Austin) and strolled, went into shops and enjoyed the almost 70 degree weather!
Mt. Bonnell was our last stop and it was probably our favorite. We walked up a steep set of stairs to get to the top and after getting there, Thad kept asking when we were going to get the mountain.
Haha! I had to tell him we’re not in Utah anymore little buddy!

Wes had a near death experience somewhere around here and mine and Brigitte’s hearts just about jumped out of our chests, but as you can see he is still alive and kicking.
We need a leash.
Saturday night and Sunday were spent recovering and relaxing and just loving being together.
We also had a little birthday prep for this guy:

Brig and I made these cute ‘5’ cookies for Thad’s class so he could celebrate with them the day before his big day.
He was excited if you can’t tell.

He was excited to hear that Caden also has one and he didn’t hesitate ripping it out of the package and zooming it around!
And then before we knew it, she was gone.
We sure love this Auntie of ours and there’s not much better for a girl’s soul than being with her sister.
Thanks for making us a priority, Brig, we sure love you and can’t wait to see you (and the boys would add, Caden and Leah) this summer!
