I couldn't ask for a better partner in crime to raise these two handsome boys with and I don't think these boys could ask for a better dad to come home to them each night.
Thad adores Daddy, and I know that will continue throughout the years.
I wouldn't complain one bit if he turns out to be a man just like him.
Brian loves our boys and I see it in his eyes every evening he walks in that door, every time he scoops Wes into his arms, or indulges Thad with another story. Brian is so good about showing his love and making the day-to-day seem special. I went through his pictures on his phone today, and I found so many shots that I will cherish. He can catch these boys in their best moments, and understands that the most special moments are when we least expect them.
WES
Seriously?
What would I do if I never blogged these images?
He caught some great shots of our ever-growing Wes.
THAD
Dad seriously knows the best time to pull out the camera!
ALL OF US
It may seem silly, but I'm so glad these moments are important for Brian and that he thinks to record them. He frequently says how we are all his favorite as he pulls out his phone to take a shot, like he just wants to freeze us in time and never lose the joy he feels when he is with his family.
It is really a special blessing to know a father loves his family, as I know many don't have that.
These pictures are a small glimpse into the joy I know that Brian feels about being a father.
What a special day it was to reflect on how grateful we are for our dads. Skyping with Grandpas Russ and Kent is always a treat too! We wouldn't be the people we are without the great men in our lives.
Thad and Wes enjoyed opening a few gifts with Dad.
Teresa brought a gift dear to Brian's heart.
I have often heard of his first talk he gave in Primary: "You Can't Play Tag with a Turtle," and Brian finally got his own copy of the darling poem/talk he had to memorize when he was three or four years old.
Luckily our kids have their own copy and will definitely following in their Daddy's footsteps when it comes to giving their first talk.
Thad has picked up some groovy dance moves lately (I can't imagine from where), so dad and son had their own little jamming session to celebrate this day!
I can say without a doubt that when Brian is with his boys he is beyond happy, and the special part is that his boys know it. I am so glad Brian wears his heart on his sleeve. I know it makes him a better father and example to his boys. They need to see that we can show and say how much we love each other. Brian has definitely softened me over the years, but I surely need him around to make sure that those feelings of love and openness continue to be felt in our family.
We love you so much, Daddy!!
Happy Fathers Day!

That was so precious. Those pics are awesome and I just busted up laughing when I saw the pic with the dinosaurs. Thad is so proud and excited and Wes is so confused! That is awesome. You are a lucky gal for sure!

How sweet. That was just a beautiful post. It made my eyes ever so slightly sting! (McKay says I cry too much). Brian is an awesome Dad and you are an awesome Mom! As evidenced by the coolest kid ever, just ask McKay.
So many great pictures! I especially love that last one with Wes wearing the hat! You are lucky to have such great boys to share your life with!
