Happy Summer!

Howdy! I hope one day I will be better at blogging. I thought that getting the internet would solve the problem, but we've had it for 3 weeks now and this is the first I've gotten to it. Oh well...one day:)
Anyways, things are great with the Monsens. We moved to WJ and are living with my parents for 5 more weeks until Brian finishes his internship with Deloitte and then it's back up to Logan for only one more year!! YAY! When we move back up we will be managers of Cobble Creek Apartments and we are super excited. I get to stay home with Thad and will do the majority of the managing responsibilities with him right by my side.
Thad is getting so so big! He seriously gets more fun every single day. We went to his 4 month apointement and he weighs 15.5 lbs! What a gubba! We love him, rolls and all:-) It's a quick update, but hope you enjoy the pics.

Pretty Much More Thad

So I have access to the internet again so I thought I would post some pics. Things are still going good. Thad is seriously growing so fast. He seems to be changing everyday. He jabbers a lot and it is so cute! We have been having so much fun with him. I hope you enjoy the recent pics!

Just a forewarning...Blogger and I don't get along very well so the sideways pictures and out of place words aren't my fault. Sorry that it's not very pleasing to the eye. At least I'm doing it, right!?!?

Leah (Brigitte's baby) and Thad. He's huge compared to her!

Thad is just barely starting to sit in his Bumbo chair. It's been too hard for him to hold his head up, but he's doing good now and I love it because it is so easy to move him around.

Just playing in Grandma's bouncer:-)

Kinda mad that he has to keep posing for a picture with his cousins. (Come to find out it's cuz his diaper was full of #2 and it came up his back!)

Caden, Thad, Avery, Laney and Shay...Always fun to be at Grandma's!

Thad, Thad and More Thad

Okay, so it took me like 5 years to get all the pics on because I hate Blogger so much. It wouldn't center them and then it was spacing them way far apart so sorry that it looks so weird. Things are so good with the Monsen Clan. I love, love, love being a mommy and we have had so much fun these last few months.

Brian is done with his Bachelors degree in accounting and is starting the Masters of Accounting program next week. He is taking two 4-week classes and then he'll continue with the program in the fall after his 6-week internship with Deloitte (an accounting firm in SLC).

We just got back from Boise because our nephew Carter got baptized and my sister Brigitte just had her little girl on Saturday May 2 too. She named her Leah Shay. Shay is my name and my sister Haley's name combined...cute, huh!?! I haven't seen her yet but I seriously can't wait to hold her. She weight 8 lbs 6 oz! Can you believe it? Thad didn't even weigh that much at 2 weeks!

Well, the pics will explain the rest that has been going on the past few months.

Happy St. Patty's day!

So the weekend of his blessing we stayed at my Sister Haley's
house and her daughter Avery is obsessed with babies and
hovered around Thad the entire weekend. It was adorable!

Easter Saturday in Kanosh. The weather was bad so we
had the hunt in the garage...it wasn't much of a hunt.

window well with the grate over it and mine was
in the back seat of Kelli's Jetta with the doors locked
and her dance stuff covering it. Come on Russ!

Scrub a dub dub! He loves the tub! These are his friends. He likes Hedgehog and Owl the most
so we tell him he needs to play with Racoon too, but he doesn't
always listen.

First time swimming! We stayed in a hotel in Boise so
he got in and loved it. The water was warm so that helped.

Thad's Story

So I finally  have internet access. That's why I haven't been able to do the blog earlier and Brian has been too busy with school and work to sit down and do it. As most of you know our baby boy is finally here and he is amazing! Labor and delivery went picture perfect. I'll tell you the story as fast as I can:-)

I woke up at 1:30am to use the bathroom to figure out that my water had broken. It wasn't much so I was in denial at first because I was prepared to go another week before he came and I was super nervous about delivering a child and becoming a mom. So I wasn't feeling contractions or anything and I had spent the entire day cleaning my house but I hadn't washed my hair for a few days...I took my time and took a shower, washed and dried my hair, finished packing, called my co-worker to take over boot camp at 6:30am and then we headed over. We got to the hospital at 3:00 am and I was so nervous, but so excited too. They started me on pitocin cuz i was only dialated to 1 cm when I got there. My dialation was quite slow so I didn't get an epidural unitl 11:00 am cuz I new I was going to be there for a while and I didn't want to be confined to the bed for that long. I was so happy when that medication got into my system and I couldn't feel the contractions anymore. I can't even imagine going through labor and delivery without one! I admire those that have. Anyways, I was only dialated to 4.5 cm when my nurse got off her shift at 3:00 pm and when the next nurse came to check me about 45 minutes later I was at a ten!!!! It was so crazy how fast it happened! She gave me a few minutes, we pushed on 2 contractions, she called the OB, we pushed once before he got there and then We only had to push on 5 or 6 more contractions and then he was born at 4:48 pm. It was probably the most amazing experience of my life and i really can't believe how happy my little baby makes me.

So he's been here for 2.5 weeks and the time is just flying. It's been an adjustment being a mom, but the most rewarding adjustment I have ever made. Brian is an amazing father and it is so fun to see them together. He's sleeping pretty good in 3 hour increments at night, so we can't complain too much. He is just a treasure:-)

Thanks for all your comments, he really is such a doll and I hope you enjoy these pics!

Me 3 days before he was born. I just look like a fatty, not 9 months pregnant:-(

Graduation, Christmas, Almost Done with Pregnancy!

Here's me in my grad garb...I graduated in the summer but I couldn't walk til December. It was a long time to wait, but it was worth it! Graduation only lasted about an 1.5 hours and we were done!
Brian on our own little Christmas morning in Logan on the 23rd. We had a blast and his main gift was the sweet church shoes you see next to his legs.

I got a jewelry box that I have been in dire need of. We had a ton o' fun!

Us in front of our own Christmas tree. It is really and it was a lot of fun to have around during the holidays.

Us on Christmas day at my parents house...Me looking nice and PLUMP!

Brian and Kache at our Christmas Day shin dig at Brig's house.

OH AVERY! is all I have to say for these adorable pictures. She is such a doll face!

This was our romantic New Year's kiss...Brian had a huge cold sore on one side of his mouth. It was pretty nasty.

Sisters are the best! We had a ton of fun at Brig's house on New Year's Eve too:-)

The kiddles had some cabin fever at Grandma's house so our journey down to the park started with me, Avery, Rett and Caden, and ended with Rob, Brig and Kache. A walk down to the park got a lot of their wiggles out.
Brian catching Avery and me by surprise!!!

Kache was a bit jealous when Avery started hanging all over Jen, so he got right up there too.

Oh Macie babe! Isn't she adorable? Brian and Macie have some sort of connection and he got all the best smiles out of her!

So there are some fun pics to look at. We had a way fun break and it was kinda cruddy getting back into real life, but now that we're back into the swing of things it's really not so bad. I have about 5.5 weeks left til my due date and we get more excited every day. We finally bought a pair of shoes for the little tike over the break, but other than that we have yet to buy him anything. My sister is bringing up her crib, dresser, bassinet and some other baby essentials this weekend and that will help to make things feel a little more real once the nursery is ready. Again, we are so excited and have not decided on a name. We have a few in mind, but we haven't felt the pressure to make a decision yet. It will come...and so will he....eventually:-)
I have been feeling great and am working a lot still at the gym up here. I teach 5 bootcamp classes MWF and have a few personal clients inbetween. Brian is still working at Logan Coach as an accounting clerk and that is going well. His last sememster of his Bachelors is a bit busy, but he's a trooper and does really well with school. He is in the process of applying to grad school (just a couple) so that is exciting and hopefully we will know soon where we will be next fall for school.
Again, life is good and I probably won't update again until I have the baby, so we love you all still and love hearing from you.
