These boys love their dad and will take any chance they can to be with him.
Thad was convinced that this Green Lantern character Brian is holding was a "bad guy," so they looked it up to find out for sure.
It's a good guy, and if anyone suggests otherwise, Thad is sure to let them know.
Like I said, these boys love their daddy!
Wes was definitely teething during March. Here is the proof:
So, he's basically a puppy.
A really, really cute puppy!
Our baby boy has also learned how to give kisses.
He goes in with a full open mouth and we love it!
He has also been very cuddly and lots of this has been going on:
I could love on this boy all day!
On March 28th Wes took his first steps!
A few days earlier he started standing up in the middle of the floor on his own, and then he finally took some steps in the evening while Brian was home to see it all!
He has been a pretty big chicken since, but he will hopefully be walking by summer if we're lucky.
He is one quick crawler and I don't think he is too anxious to trade in his mode of transportation.
See, he can get where he needs to be.
It makes me cringe a little every time he is outside ripping his pants up, but I have two boys, so I had just better get used to it!
He is still working his model face whenever I pull out the camera.
And he usually always pulls out a big grin for me too.
This is kinda gross, but we left some food on the floor over night and Wes helped himself to it the next morning! Yikes!
Wes was a little confused when this little puppy went up, but it was so awesome when it finally happened! He LOVES the stairs, but was only going up for so long, and we just couldn't trust that little one anymore.
He kinda yelled at me, but I didn't mind.
There was also lots of brother time this March, as there always is and will be!
I walked up the stairs to find this little treasure atop Wes' head:
Thad found my clips and had a hay day! Wes was a good sport too!
Grandma Cindy sent and Easter package and Wes loved the grass the best, of course.

We were lucky enough to get a few nice days like this.
And Thad had a few cute moments himself:
He loves these Reindeer jammies SO MUCH.
Every night he asks, "Are my reindeer jammies clean?"
He is always wanting to help me out, so I can't turn him down.
FHE:
Brian taught about the story of David and Goliath and had Thad draw Goliath.
I think he did a fantastic job!
Then the boys threw marshmallows at him, of course!
Well, Wes just hung around under the target to see how many marshmallows he could get before they picked them up again.

The really boogied for about three minutes straight. Thad LOVED it!
Being with Emily's family makes me excited for ours to grow and see how our kids are with each other.
The boys patiently waited while moms checked out.
And our major March moment was finally making this announcement public:
Austin, Texas will be our home for the next five years!
Back in October Brian came home from work and asked what I thought about him going back to school for his PhD in accounting. It was a huge surprise and I had no idea he had even thought about it. His GMAT score expires this year, so it was kind of now or never...we went with now! It was quick -- he had applications and references put together by December and we just waited to hear back. Our top choices were Michigan, Texas and Indiana.
As you can see, Texas was the winner!
We are incredibly sad to leave the east coast, but are excited for the future and opportunity this new route will provide.
I'm grateful for a husband that works so hard for our family and is following his heart with this major career change.
