After our crazy December, Christmas finally arrived!
On Christmas Eve morning, Liv, Dad, and i got to work making sure we had all the yummy food to eat on Christmas day. We got the rice pudding made and breakfast bake put together while the kids counted down the hours to bed time.
While the little girls were napping we started It's a Wonderful Life because it's the very best Christmas movie in all the world-
They had been asking multiple times a day and were so excited to finally get their hands on a present!
It was really fun to watch them watch each other open the gifts they had gotten for one another. I hope they always enjoy giving, it is much better than receiving.

We spent one last day with Melvin and said goodbye to him when we put the cookies and milk out-
This baby was so excited for her first Christmas!
We got in Christmas jammies and watched the nativity story and the Spirit was strong. I am so grateful for technology and they way it brings the scriptures to life.
Mae's sweet nursery teachers, Brother and Sister Ryan, gave her a full nativity set with Jesus wrapped up in a box ready to be opened on Christmas Eve and it was so sweet to talk about it and have her add it to the rest of the set-

To top off the night we gave everyone melatonin, read The Night Before Christmas, left some yummy treats out for the big guy and his reindeer, and set out stockings with hopes they would be full in the morning!
And they were just so happy it was bedtime-
These big kids had a blast hanging out together and didn't get much sleep, but is it even Christmas if you sleep well...? Maybe Mae can join them next year...
Brian and I got to bed at a decent time and sure enough, the kids made it into our room at 5:30 right on the dot (after Brian had to go in at 4:20 a.m. and tell Eve to talk quieter) and we all crossed our fingers Santa stopped by our place.
These four (not waking baby at 5:30, sorry) waited on pins and needles while dad checked things out and mom put the breakfast bake in the oven, but smiled nicely for a picture when it was finally time!
So many happy faces!
These kids were happy campers and spent a lot of time checking out what Santa brought them before moving on to the gifts under the tree. It was a lot of fun!
This girl loved her new tiny table and chairs and also her animal print boots...can you even handle the cuteness??
And this kid is just getting too big too fast -- I had to take a lot of pics of him. I can't stand how big he is.
All the books from cousins are so fun!
After all the big kids had opened their gifts, baby girl finally woke up and we all smothered her on her first Christmas morning!
We are so glad you are here to share all our Christmases with us! There are so many more ahead!
We all basked in the Christmas debris-
Thad asked for a drone with a camera and he got really good at it really fast!
The weather was not bad at all, just a little wet, and lots of time was spent outside watching Thad fly his drone. He has some really fun video from the day, too, I need to make sure to get it from him!
Mae really had a thing for boots on Christmas!
Wes got roller blades and was a much better skater than I thought! He is going to be a pro this summer!
Mid day several family members just couldn't hack it anymore and had to snooze after all the excitement-
Holiday hangovers are very real.
We snuck in some FaceTime with both grandparents, but we only snapped one picture-
We sure wish we could have been with them on Christmas, but are again, so grateful for technology!
We all stayed in jammies and enjoyed the rest of the evening together. It was a really fun, special, and relaxing Christmas-

I sure love these people and am so grateful for the amazing Christmas we were able to provide and enjoy together. I know these Christmases with the chaos of all these kids are a treasure to behold and I am so grateful for every single one we have had and will have in the future!
