Henries Do Memorial Day...Again!

We were lucky enough to get the Henries for Memorial Day weekend AGAIN this year! Rob surprised Brigitte at the beginning of the month and May flew by and they were here before we knew it!

Their flight landed late Thursday night (11:55pm) and Thad was a trooper and went to the airport with me to get them. We let him stay up late to watch the first Harry Potter movie because he finished that book a week or two before and he had been waiting to watch it! It was the perfect night to do it. There was school on Friday, but we let him skip so he could come to Hamilton Pool with all of us! It was the one thing Brig for sure wanted to do and it was awesome! But first, these cousins got to say hello to each other for the first time in five months!
Fidget spinners are the "thing" right now and all the boys had one!

I love these girls...and Eve's bedhead is just perfection.

We should have headed out a little earlier for Hamilton Pool because I didn't realize it was an hour away, but we made it in time to spend an hour there before they closed it for the next group of people.
It was a very humid morning and the hike was a little longer than we were hoping to get down there, but we made it in one piece and enjoyed the beauty of it!

We definitely could have stayed a little longer and we wish we would have planned to swim, but we are still so happy we got to go! We will definitely be heading back with daddy some time!

We stopped and had a lunch at a fun burger place in Austin and headed home for a night of relaxing and swimming. I did not take many pictures over the weekend and I'm kinda bummed! On Saturday we did my hair (it took a LONG time!) while Brian, Thad and Caden went and helped with an Eagle Scout project for Josh Burton who is in our ward. Brian said they were both hard little workers!

Brigitte had never been to Alamo Drafthouse so that evening Brig and I took the big kids to see Diary of Whimpy Kid and we all thought it was pretty hilarious and they thought they theater was pretty awesome.

Sunday was spent at church and relaxing before our day trip to Waco the next day!

First stop:
Buc-ees!

This is a must do for all that visit us!

Next we went to Homestead Heritage with Todd and Kelsie and their family and it was so fun. It is a Christian run farm type place that does all sorts of things the old fashioned way. They have blacksmiths, pottery, spinning and weaving, wood work and some other awesome things! It was another steamy day, but we had fun!

After naps and Brigitte giving Kelsie a hair cut, the girls headed to Magnolia to check out the store and get some yummy cupcakes!

We met up with the boys at the park before heading to dinner-

Hold on, Jayci!

We had dinner at Torchy's and headed home exhausted after a really fun day!
Tuesday came way too fast and it was time for them to go before we knew it. As sad as it was to say goodbye, it felt so great knowing we would see them in one month!

Last breakfast together-

Sprinklers instead of the pool (and school for Thad)-

And this is how we rolled most of the week!
Those are some happy, squished kids!

We love you Henries and wish we could play with you every weekend! Thank you for visiting us in Texas, we can't wait to see you again!
