Valentine’s Day
We didn’t do a whole lot around these parts to celebrate V-day except wear red and have some yummy treats.
For FHE the week of, we wrote on hearts some things we love about each other and hung them on the door.

Luckily we have some really cute boys and we got some perfect pictures of them in red, showing their love.
Thad chose Lego Star Wars valentines and Skittles to pass out to his cute class.
I think all of the girls wanted him to be their Valentine…Look at those eyes!
Isn’t it amazing that we can do all of these things in FEBRUARY?!
I let Wes get a little carried away the day we washed the car. I snapped this picture right before things got crazy and he was soaked from his hair to his toes by the time we were finished!
The not-so-beautiful:

This “crazy” storm shut all of Austin down. School was canceled, the whole bit. It gave all us Utahns a good laugh!

Our Runnin’ Man:

The weekend Brigitte was here, Brian headed down to Houston with John Partridge, a ward member, to run this awesome 20 mile trail race.
He trained pretty intensely for about eight weeks, and it paid off! He took second overall and first in his age division!
He tried to play it down that there weren’t very many racers (about 50-60), but I don’t care – second place after 20 miles…that’s awesome!!
He was bummed there wasn’t a marathon a couple weeks after since he had put all of that time in, but I know one day I will be blogging about this guy qualifying for the Boston.

My Boys
I put the slide on the other side of the counter for a while, and there was either fighting about who was standing there or compromising that looked like this:
I like the compromise.
I love that these boys love being by each other. I love that Wes just wants to rest his hand on Thad and I love that Thad doesn’t mind one bit. Beautiful brothers.
I also love that our boys maul their dad whenever possible, especially when he has a video to show them or a book to read…
