Hip Hoppin' Easter Happenings

Our Easter was very low key, but so fun for us to be creating traditions for our family.

First things first: Sending out an adorable Easter card to our family of kids wearing cute bunny ears.

Tradition #2: Dyeing Easter Eggs

It was fun to invite Christina over because Thad is still like an only child when it comes to stuff like this, and she will always be, so being with her is a lot of fun for both of them!

Dad gets into this stuff better than I do!
He made some sweet looking eggs.

Tradition #3: Be really cute on Easter morning
I don't think this will be a hard one to continue throughout the years.

Tradition #4: Wear matchy, matchy fancy spring clothes to church

Tradition #5: Look for hidden Easter eggs and baskets...that sneaky bunny!
Thad waited outside patiently after church so mom and dad could make sure the Bunny had made it to our house while we were gone.

He got excited after finding each one and cracked it open to check what was inside.
The basket hunt took a while and a few hints, but...
He finally opened the right door, and...
 JACKPOT!

Thad was a good brother and made sure this little guy's basket was found.
You can tell by the look on his face that he was a happy camper!
Love him.

Traditon #6: Relax
We all enjoyed a restful Easter Sunday and a nice dinner with some friends in Stamford.

As I look at this list, and the wonderful holiday we had, I realize a seventh tradition must be incorporated--focus on why the holiday even exists: The resurrection of our Savior. It is such a blessing to have the gospel and understand the role the Savior plays in our eternal journeys. His resurrection is a promise to all of us that we will be whole and physically perfect one day. It is only through him that we will be spiritually perfect and building and strengthening our boys' testimonies of this perfect truth must be at the forefront of each day, but especially these Christ-centered holidays. 2013 will have the seventh tradition incorporated.
