Just some random pics from around St. Petersburg
St. Isaac’s Cathedral. Turns out that it is closed on Wednesdays and we couldn’t get in.Shelley next to the River Moika.
Russian graveyard we went to on a family history excursion of sorts.
We ran into a group of senior citizen communist activists on a day trip from the rest home. This sign says “We need Comrade Stalin.” Death wish…?
Same rest home field trip. The first line of this sign reads: “The main source of terrorism in the world is the USA and the dollar.” The rest is really funny, but I don’t have the time or patience to translate it here.Shelley next to the grave of the great Petr Ilich Tchaikovsky.
The main town square, Dvortsovaya Ploschad’.
This girl had really big bows in her hair. We thought it was pretty funny, so we maxed out the zoom on our canon for this candid shot.
