Quarantine Diaries -- Week 3

▫️Eve as happy as a clam getting some much needed one on one time.

We are all losing our marbles and a walk to the park to run on a different surface or a ride to Walmart to pick up groceries does wonders to help life feel a little normal.

▫️The Sacketts continue to turn isolation into isoSLAYtion!

▫️Mae turned 9 months old, gets cuter everyday, and her innocence grounds us time after time.

Sorry, I never want to forget the strong meme game going on during this time. It has brought too many smiles to my face-

Quarantine Diaries -- Week 2

Luckily we had spring break for our second week of quarantine and all our brains were able to take a break from everything. We started our week off with church at home and it was awesome.

Thad gave a great talk and Eve and I enjoyed getting “fancy” during a time there isn’t much to get fancy for! We are so grateful to live in a time when church at home is no problem, both physically and doctrinally. Being able to partake of the sacrament in our home has been such a blessing. Seeing things come to pass that have been prophesied of and that we have been prepared for has been such a testimony builder. I don’t want it to stay this way for long, but am so grateful for the blessings of the gospel and the perspective it provides.

We spent time outside and the weather was all over the place!
Luckily we are still able to play with the Sacketts (similar quarantine situations, little exposure) but have had to call it quits with some other friends. Social distancing is hard.

Random Quarantine Moments
•shredding newspaper ads in the mail because they are useless at this point.
•reading Harry Potter — we are going to try and read the first one as a family and then let the boys loose!
•letting naked babies crawl on bathroom floors...I really am going crazy!
•social distancing at Costco. Brian said it was actually nice when he got in!
•best big sis

Lots of electronics snuck in since there was no school work to get done and no place to go-

Just being outside was super important last week so we didn’t go crazy!

We went on lots of walks and a couple drives just to get out of the house. It wasn’t quite the spring break we were hoping for (we’ll get to Palmyra and Niagara eventually), but counting our blessings we are able to “shelter in place” in a safe place, all together, with everything we need.

The meme game is still going really strong!

Quarantine Diaries -- Week 1

The world came to a halting stop mid-March due to COVID-19 and things have been...crazy...to say the least!

We sure are living in some crazy times! Home church, home school, home EVERYTHING for the past 7 days has been exhausting, fun, spiritual, and everything in between!

Before we had church the first week we snuck some family yoga in during Mae's nap-

We all decided on the weekly schedule Sunday and got right to it! Official online learning didn’t start until Wednesday, but they all kept busy with stuff at home. We even set up our folding table in our empty dining room to serve as our classroom over the coming weeks. Eve’s teachers sent home a packet and Thad and Wes get daily assignments from their teachers on Google Classroom.

LEGO Masters!!
Day 1: Pokémon
I’m not sure what these next few weeks/months hold, but I do know we’re going to try to make the best of them...and that the memes are definitely going to help us get through them!

 St Patty’s Day
We wore green, made shamrock shaped sugar cookies and had the LEGO masters build their best version of a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
We have been doing our best at social distancing, but have allowed the 9 neighborhood kids to play together for “recess” each day. No going inside each other’s houses and no wrestling on the tramp.
Miss Mae sure wishes she could join them--Her daily walks seem to be tying her over for now!

Brian had to head to the store for a few things and it was so weird to see people in masks and empty shelves. Such a weird time.

8-Month Mae

This girl's biggest achievement this month was becoming mobile!
She went from getting up on all fours to a burpee/inch worm crawl. None of our babies have crawled this way, but she is so fun to watch!

Being able to scooch around and get where she wants to go makes for one happy babe!

Lots of smiling and showing off of teeth-

And totally sitting up on her own!

Sweet cuddles with her brothers-

Some sadness while she had the flu-

This may have happened a time or two during flu week, but you do what you gotta do!

And back to be the sweetest chick once she got feeling better-

 (Baby toes!!)

She still can't get enough of these siblings-

She longs to be out there with them--I know her heart is bursting with love for those fun people, I can see it on her face!

Mae pulls random faces and tricks out of her hat all the time-

And is always reeling her head backwards while she's getting changed to find a sibling or two to talk to-

She is the best dinner date and so polite-

And grocery shopping got a whole lot easier now that we can ditch the car seat-

Happy 8 Months Mae, you're an absolute gem!
