Happy 7th Birthday, Wes!

This boy woke up ready to celebrate lucky #7, so celebrate we did!

A boy and his wheels

Lunch at school is always a blast!

We spent the night enjoying his new stuff, his favorite food, and the best Pokemon cake!

Happy 7th Birthday, Wes!

Wes, you have a heart of gold and a fiery personality to match that head of hair you wear so perfectly!
(And now you know what it's actually like to have a winter birthday)

Almost Christmas 2018

Christmas snuck up pretty quick on us after we got back from Chicago, but we made sure to look our best on the Sunday before Christmas-

I sure love those sweet kids in their Christmas colors and am so glad they are more than willing to go along with almost anything I put them in. We enjoyed a wonderful 1-hour Christmas service with mostly music and I did speak for 5 minutes about what Christmas means to me and it was was just a beautiful Sunday.
That evening we headed to the Gee's home for a special night of all things Christmas music. Anyone was welcome to perform and there were so many wonderful performances by adults and children. The Gee's were so kind to open their house up for such fun night.

CHRISTMAS EVE
We had a relaxing Christmas Eve morning-
Giving shoulder rides and bidding farewell to one of our favorite Christmas visitors, Melvin.

That afternoon we went to the mall to get Miss Eve's ears pierced. It took us a bit to convince dad, but we were all excited once he gave us the go ahead and were happy that we had Melvin's approval, too!

There was lots of smiles and excitement when we arrived, but her nerves did get to her and she asked if we could wait until she was bigger. Luckily she didn't put up too much of a fuss and went through with the process.

We sure love our brave Eve and all the fun she brings to our family!
We got a cute video of it all, too.

We kept on with our Christmas Eve tradition we got from Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Kent and got some yummy Chinese food for dinner from a place we had never been but all ended up loving!

We was so exited about his fortune that was perfect to get on Christmas Eve night...let's see that a little closer...
Why yes he will!

That evening we went to the Roulstone's home with a few other people for some more music, to act out the nativity, and enjoy some treats-

Eve and Thad were the perfect Joseph and Mary!

Not great lighting, but we got a couple cute pics of these cute kids!

We got home around 8:30 p.m. so the kids could open their one present they knew was waiting for them-
That large box turned it this small envelope-
 That held this special picture-
Baby Monsen #4 coming July 2019!!!!
To say the kids were excited to see this news is an understatement! They have asked on and off since we moved if/when we're going to have another baby and were so excited to see that their wish is finally coming true. I was about 12 weeks along at this point, so it was the perfect timing to tell them all since we didn't mind if people started knowing at this point. We can't wait! Summer seems far away, but we know it will be here before we know it.

After all the fun of opening that present we had to have a little photo shoot of them in their cutest Christmas jammies from Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Russ-

Thad chose this cutest pose for his individual shot and Eve couldn't help herself and had to get in on it with her sweetest oldest brother.

I sure love these cutest kids of mine and am so glad I get to spend my Christmases with them.

To finish off our night dad read "The Night Before Christmas" and the kids placed their stockings on the couch where they wanted Santa to leave their gifts.

Not sure how I missed out on Thad, but I did.

And off to bed they went, excited as could be!
