Spring Break 2022 - The Drive and Hollywood Studios

We've decided to make Florida a regular part of our Spring Break experience, so this year we did Disney World and Universal! We decided to save a few bucks by driving instead of flying and it wasn't our favorite decision, but we did it.

We knew the little girls couldn't do the trip in one day (14 hours!), so we stopped halfway in North Carolina and had fun in our double room that we got hooked up with since the pipes burst in our suite, went on a walk to get some energy out, and had some Carolina BBQ for dinner!

Thad and I switched spots most days and it turned out mostly ok. None of us were sad when the drive was over and we were in sweet sunny Florida!

We got settled into our condo and the next morning we were off to Disney World and Hollywood Studios was our first stop! Waiting in the line to get in was bonkers and Genie Pass is lame, but we figured it out and went to Rockin' Rollercoaster first thing-

Eve's face on this is SOOOOO good! She had never ridden a roller coaster before this day, and then this was her introduction! It is a wild ride and she was SO BRAVE!
We had to split up a lot for dad or me to stay with the little girls, but we worked it out and someone got to ride the rides twice in a row.

The little girls were such good sports and we tried our best to have fun while waiting-

The Star Wars rides were so much fun and made us feel like we were in another galaxy!

The photographer was lovin' on our Liv!

So. Much. Waiting.
We tried for a Lightening Lane pass for Rise of the Resistance, but couldn't get one and hopped in line when the wait got down to 120 minutes. LUCKILY we only had to wait a little over an hour and it was totally worth it!

The Force was with us!

Toy Story Land was also a blast and the little girls were able to participate a little bit more in that area.

Slinky Dog Dash was our favorite in Toy Story Land and even our brave little Mae went on it after dad figured out she was tall enough while Eve, Thad, and I went on it!

Can you even believe our tiny Mae in that big roller coaster?!

Dad and I both snuck in some Frozen things with the little girls and Mae loved it-

Each day we let the kids pick a treat between lunch and dinner and it worked out great-

I had to share, But I didn't mind.
They're too cute!

We ended our night with Tower of Terror and it DID NOT disappoint! Thad had sworn all day that he wasn't going to go on it, but Brian and I really wanted him to. He waffled back and forth and finally agreed but was so nervous-

I ended up being more scared than him!

He was so happy he didn't skip it!

What a fun, full day! We left the park a little after 9pm and hustled home to get some sleep just to do it all again the next day!
