Eve - Four Months

Eve experienced some awesomeness during her fourth month of life, including her first Christmas and being blessed!

I don't have many details because I am so behind and I am starting to forget her craziness as she gets bigger and better at being a human.

The first half of her 4th month was in Utah and she was such a trooper to be carted around everywhere with us. Scenes like this weren't too uncommon.

Baby's FIRST Christmas!

Her favorite gift was the pink blanket:
Behold, the Ollie Wrap. Thanks to Bre, it changed our swaddling life! She looked super duper cute all wrapped up, too!

Brian snapped this pretty awesome shot. Not that her paternity was ever in question, but...
There is absolutely no question who this baby girl's daddy is!

And she rolled over!!
I really wanted her to do this before the end of the year, and she did it on New Year's Eve! I think the "Eve" had something to do with it and she made the roll--So smart!

These brothers continue to obsess over her-

She looked like a beauty in momma's wedding dress on her blessing day,
And her daddy gave her a special blessing that I know she will live up to.

We got back to Texas and I thought things would be pretty breezy since she had been in a pretty good routine in Utah. I was kinda wrong, but like I said I'm forgetting that more and more as time goes by!

Happy New Year 2015

New Year's ~Eve~
Why don't I use this pun more often?? It is just so perfect!

Our New Year's Eve was spent in the best way possible: with family AND friends!
Teresa offered to let us host some friends at her house since she and Russ were going to be out of town. We had the Henries, the Hills, the Fauxes and the Madsens over to ring in the new year!

We didn't do anything fancy, just chatting and kids playing, but with the right people that is always a lot of fun!

 The Boys

 The kids

The Kiss-
Haha! I like our posed one better, but I had to get a real-time picture, too!

I absolutely love that when we went down after the ball dropped, it was Wes still awake and not Thad! Thad is not much of a night owl, but our Wes can keep up with the adults like a champ!

~Happy New Year from the Monsens~
May 2015 be as good to your family as 2014 was to ours!

New Year's Day
We spent this day with the Wilson family, which was totally perfect because it's Riley's birthday! We also hadn't spent any time with Birtley, Tiffany and their family and were so excited to do so especially since they finally got to meet Eve!

All of us headed to Sushi (Riley's choice) and celebrated his last year in his thirties.
Haley and Brig were there too, but got out before I could take the picture. They helped me try different kinds of sushi and it was a lot of fun!

When we all got back to Grandma Cindy's house, we had a braiding marathon-

I'm always working on my braiding skills because Miss Eve is going to have long, braidable hair before I know it and I never got the French braid down when I was younger like Brigitte and Haley did. Brig was awesome to let me practice on her and Birtley even jumped in to challenge me!

I don't know how I didn't get a picture of his finished product, but it was incredible to watch him attempt to just get Avery's hair in a pony tail. Men's fingers were not made for this!
Pippy Long Stocking at your service!
I have to say, our 2015 started out pretty dang awesome!
